Licensed Collision Repair Technician (310B) – CARSTAR Owen Sound (Opening Soon)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Owen Sound, ON

CARSTAR Owen Sound is opening soon and we are looking for an experienced and dependable Licensed Collision Repair Technician (310B) to join our new collision centre.

As a key member of our team, you will complete high-quality repairs efficiently, safely, and in accordance with OEM and insurer standards. You will work closely with the Shop Manager and production team to ensure repairs are completed accurately, on time, and to CARSTAR's industry-leading standards.

Responsibilities

Collision Repair & Structural Work:

  • Repair vehicles according to OEM procedures, insurance guidelines, and CARSTAR standards
  • Follow repair estimates and verify parts and labour match the written plan
  • Complete repairs from teardown to reassembly with accuracy and quality
  • Identify and report additional damage or estimate discrepancies
  • Perform structural repairs, panel replacement, welding, metal finishing, and plastic repair
  • Ensure proper fit, alignment, and functioning of all repaired components

Production & Workflow:

  • Participate in daily production meetings to review job status and timelines
  • Maintain strong productivity and manage work time effectively
  • Collaborate with estimators, painters, and technicians to maintain steady workflow
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures

Quality & Documentation:

  • Ensure all repairs meet or exceed OEM specifications and CARSTAR quality expectations
  • Document repair notes when required
  • Perform ongoing quality checks to prevent rework and ensure first-time accuracy

Qualifications

  • 310B Auto Body & Collision Damage Repairer Licence (required)
  • 4+ years experience in a production collision repair environment (required)
  • Structural welding certification
  • I-CAR training (Gold Class an asset)
  • Strong knowledge of OEM repair procedures and modern vehicle repair technology
  • Ability to read and follow repair estimates
  • Experience with Mitchell Cloud/Repair Center (asset)
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Highly organized; able to prioritize and manage multiple jobs
  • Valid driver's licence (required)
