Position: Depot Manager, Bottle Depot

Compensation ranges from $65,000/annum to $80000/annum (depending on experience) and includes company-paid extended health coverage that includes medical, dental, and vision.

WHAT WILL YOU GET TO DO…

As the Depot Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily depot operations, including:

  • Managing depot in compliance with the company's policies, safety regulations, and the Regional Recycling's standard and safe operating procedures.
  • Maintaining high levels of accuracy in daily operations, including shipping and receiving, equipment operations, processing of products, handling cash & cash deliveries, inventory counts and implementing safety checks.
  • Follow protocols for all accounting and finance processes and reporting requirements.
  • Educating team members in maintaining a safe work environment while enforcing health & safety policies and regulations in the workplace, including preventative equipment maintenance. Safety is a priority.
  • Training and/or coaching team members for improved customer service, quality, productivity, or teamwork performance. Conducting performance appraisals/reviews to accomplish better results.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer and client service and strong ties in the community.
  • Developing and applying control methods to maintain a high level of labour efficiency.
  • Participating in operational and strategic planning and implementation processes.
  • As skills develop, further training for additional tasks will be provided.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR...

  • Post-secondary education in business, warehouse operations, logistics, or related areas.
  • Experience with high-speed counting & sorting equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience with routine preventative maintenance.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • First Aid, WHMIS, or Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Experience in a supervisory, team lead, or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.
  • Good business sense with the ability to problem-solve, plan, make decisions, and manage workflow.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
