We are looking for a Permanent Full-time Team Lead for our Vaughan branch.

Key Job Functions

  • Maintains and promotes corporate presence among community partners and attends community meetings as a representative of the organization.
  • Acts as a backup in the absence of all branch positions including Branch Manager, Employment Counsellor, Job Preparation Placement Counsellor and Intake Coordinator
  • Ensures that employees are suitably trained in line with training plans provided by the Learning and Development team.
  • Fulfills administrative support requirements including file audits, review of requests, and follow-up activities.
  • Keeps abreast of prevailing issues as well as potential business opportunities and reports these to Branch Manager
  • Promotes VPI programs to community groups, community partners, social service agencies, and other stakeholders in their designated region to ensure program targets are met
  • Fosters strong relationships and supports activities within, the local community, community partners, as well as social service agencies near the branches to ensure Ministry of Colleges and Universities and Fedcap targets are met on a monthly and fiscal basis
  • Sustains comprehensive awareness of the local labor market and overall economic conditions
  • Facilitates information and training sessions both in the branch and off-site
  • Works closely with the Employer Services and Community Partnerships Unit to assist clients seamlessly and effectively in obtaining meaningful employment
  • Effectively manages staff scheduling to ensure coverage in branch locations as per the needs of the clients and assigned programs, in accordance with funders' guidelines to reach all set-out targets
  • Supports the development of action plans for all staff to ensure growth within the role and organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
