Hours: 10–20 hours per week (flexible)

Compensation: Hourly + commission + performance bonuses

About OSA Foundation

Ottawa Sports Academy Foundation is the charitable arm of OSA Private School, dedicated to expanding access to education and sport through scholarships, community partnerships, and targeted funding initiatives. A key focus of the Foundation is building restricted sponsorships and funding streams to support Indigenous students, alongside broader regional and national partnerships.

Position Summary

OSA Foundation is seeking a Part-Time Sponsorships, Fundraising & Partnerships Manager to lead corporate and community sponsorship development, support grant readiness, and coordinate select fundraising initiatives. This role is ideal for a relationship-driven professional with experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or business development who is comfortable securing funding and building long-term relationships.

This is a flexible, part-time role with meaningful impact and growth potential.

Key Responsibilities1. Sponsorships & Partnerships (Primary Focus)

  • Identify, pursue, and secure regional and national corporate sponsorships

  • Develop and manage partnerships with community, corporate, and philanthropic organizations

  • Lead sponsorship efforts for both general Foundation initiatives and restricted Indigenous student funding

  • Prepare sponsorship proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials

  • Coordinate sponsor recognition, reporting, and renewal opportunities

2. Grant Readiness & Coordination

  • Research and identify relevant government, Indigenous, and private grant opportunities

  • Assess eligibility and prepare initial grant materials (concept notes, program descriptions, draft budgets)

  • Coordinate grant documentation for completion and submission by internal administrative staff

  • Track grant timelines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities

3. Fundraising Events (Selective)

  • Support the planning and sponsorship of a limited number of fundraising events per year

  • Secure event sponsors and community partners

  • Coordinate with internal staff on logistics and execution

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in sponsorship sales, fundraising, partnerships, business development, or related fields

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and asking for financial support

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple initiatives

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or Indigenous-focused funding is an asset, or a demonstrated commitment to cultural respect and learning

  • Experience in the non-profit, education, or sport sector is an asset

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $30–40/hour (commensurate with experience)

  • Commission:

  • 10–15% on cash sponsorships secured

  • 5–10% on in-kind sponsorships

  • Performance bonuses for multi-year sponsorships, Indigenous-restricted funding, and successful fundraising initiatives
