THE OPPORTUNITY

Rainbow Stage is seeking a Fundraising Manager to manage all areas of fund development—including individual and corporate giving, sponsorships, and special events. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), this full-time role will actively build fundraising revenue by creating a strong donor experience through meaningful engagement and a dedicated approach to donor stewardship. The successful incumbent will be a highly organized and creative individual, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines while working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in collaboration with the ED and the Board's Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee to develop and execute an annual fundraising plan.
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and new sources of revenue.
  • Lead the solicitation, engagement, and stewardship of donors, cultivating an environment where donors feel connected and valued.
  • Build and nurture relationships with sponsors and stakeholders to establish strategic partnerships and strengthen community support for the organization.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of various special events and marketing initiatives, including group sales.
  • Research and write grant applications, corporate sponsorship asks, and partnership agreements. Manage all administrative functions related to fundraising and development.
  • Adhere to the legal, regulatory, and ethical fundraising and financial standards for charitable organizations.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Post-secondary education in business or marketing, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience in a non-profit organization. Proven ability to create and execute strategic fundraising plans.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication abilities, able to build and steward a network of supporters within the arts sector and across the donor community.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Technologically proficient, comfortable working with data base and/or fundraising software, social media and digital tools.
  • Member in good standing with the Association of Fundraising Professionals or equivalent would be an asset.
