Senior Manager of Development

This role offers the chance to design and grow meaningful fundraising and development programs that directly support communities across Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies and manage campaigns, including events such as galas, auctions, and community initiatives, to meet revenue goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term engagement and support.
- Identify and research potential donors, sponsors, and funding opportunities that align with organizational objectives.
- Track, analyze, and report on fundraising performance using CRM systems and other tools to inform decision-making.
- Partner with Marketing & Communications to promote campaigns, donor initiatives, and events across multiple channels.
- Ensure all fundraising, sponsorship, and grant activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
- Create compelling sponsorship proposals (cash and in-kind), negotiate favorable terms, and manage mutually beneficial sponsorship agreements.
- Research, write, and submit grant proposals, prepare budgets and supporting documentation, and manage reporting processes for funders.
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with foundations, corporations, and government agencies to secure ongoing funding.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive legacy giving program, engaging prospective donors through outreach, events, and targeted marketing materials.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Community Development, Non-Profit Management, Public Relations or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role that demonstrates a proven track record of success.
- Certification as a fundraising professional would be a significant asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand and articulate complex concepts and programs to diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of internal and stakeholder financial reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly proficient in the use of office productivity tools, which include MS Office 365, and Dynamics CRM.
- Valid Driver's License
