Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Technical Services will support the execution of capital projects to ensure timely delivery of each project to the business in accordance with defined schedules and budget. This role will also support the team in its pursuit of its annual carbon reduction initiatives through project management and ongoing reporting for internal and external disclosures, while applying technical and data analysis to assess future opportunities for carbon reduction and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports technical category leaders to lead capital program budget and schedule drive efficient deployment of capital to deliver on team objectives.
- Collaborates with Technical Services and Construction teams to ensure technical services activities supporting renovation and new construction projects are delivered on time.
- Collaborates with Sustainability, ESG, and Environmental Affairs teams to assemble quarterly and annual reporting of carbon reduction performance and project execution status.
- Supports Technical Services team with assembly of proposals, presentations, and reports to enable the adoption of new technologies and strategies for energy and carbon reduction.
- Performs data analysis and technical computations to assess feasibility of projects based on economics, energy consumption, and carbon emissions.
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, sustainability, business, or equivalent education.
- Recent graduate with 1-3 years of work, co-op, internship, and/or volunteer experience. Prior experience in retail, food service, construction, sustainability, and/or engineering services considered an asset.
- Experience in handling schedules and costs involving multiple teams.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, coding, data analytics, and process automation software (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, etc.).
- Outstanding teammate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn new data and project management software packages.
- Ability to plan and work independently and as a team.
- Detail oriented; strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and management experience developed through extracurricular or volunteer activities is an asset.
- Familiarity with relevant ESG disclosure frameworks, technical codes and standards, and professional organizations is an asset.
- Familiarity with HVAC & Refrigeration concepts is an asset.
- Familiarity with SAP is an asset.
