Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Hamilton, ON, for a Refrigeration B Operator. The role involves monitoring and maintaining refrigeration systems, performing routine inspections to ensure operational efficiency, and addressing any issues to maintain optimal performance. The operator will ensure compliance with safety protocols, assist with system upgrades, and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted temperature-controlled operations. This role requires attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, operation, and maintenance, particularly within temperature-controlled environments
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for equipment and system repairs
  • Experience with safety protocols, compliance standards, and environmental regulations related to refrigeration systems
  • Ability to conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities efficiently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Relevant certificates such as Refrigeration Operator Class B licence (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in cold storage or similar temperature-controlled settings is a plus
  • Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to flexible schedules
