Material Controller

We are looking for a Material Controller to join the Surrey Langley Skytrain team in our dedicated warehouse, for coordinating, tracking and managing the flow of materials for the project delivery. This role ensures that materials are available when needed, inventory levels are accurate, and all documentation aligns with procurement, logistics and quality requirements.
Role will be based out of our Langley, BC location at A Avenue.
Your role
The selected person will support the Warehouse Team in carrying out key responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Material planning and coordination, ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Inventory management, including record keeping in our systems and managing stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Receiving materials against PO's and delivery notes, and ensuring timely receipt of PO's.
- Ensuring proper documentation, labeling and storage of materials.
- Maintaining records of all material movements, receipts and returns, and producing timely reports.
- Assisting QA/QC with material movements/resolutions.
- Coordinating across functions to support material control management.
About you
- A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in material control.
- Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management software.
- Warehouse experience.
- Driving License.
- Strong organizational and time management, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relating to material handling and storage.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Expected compensation for this role is between $63,600 - $87,500 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
