As a Senior Sales Specialist for Analytics, you will drive the strategy and results for analytics adoption across Canada. Your role involves identifying high-value customer opportunities and becoming a trusted advisor to AWS customers. You will leverage your consultative expertise to guide customers in modernizing their data infrastructure and deploying AWS Analytics solutions, unlocking insights and solving key business problems. With a passion for developing high-potential opportunities and executing effective strategies, you will participate in the full-cycle sales engagement plan, from identifying qualified leads to realizing revenue. You will help account teams craft and execute their plans while earning trust with Line of Business, Data Engineering, and IT personas, ensuring both customer vision and AWS revenue goals are achieved.
You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of AWS's Analytics services and relevant cross-functional areas to build strong relationships with customers. You will conduct compelling executive conversations on the transformational possibilities of data analytics and business intelligence, articulating the "why" and "what" of use cases at an advanced level, with the detailed "how" being provided by Solutions Architects.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive and execute tech domain specific sales strategies for analytics within your assigned territory/accounts, leveraging AWS Sales, GTM, and our Partner community.
- Lead ideation with Line of Business and senior leaders, building trust with your deep technical expertise, and following through to help solve their most compelling business problems.
- Serve as the primary specialist for customer engagement in analytics within your assigned territory/accounts.
- Define compelling value propositions and ROI frameworks that address the specific analytics needs of your customers.
- Execute sales motions on new product launches and provide customer feedback to product teams.
- Partner with System Integrators to deliver maximum customer value.
- Identify new customer segments and use cases to expand market reach.
- Drive sales efforts across multiple lines of business within your accounts.
- Capture and share voice-of-customer insights to inform product roadmaps and enhance the customer experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with account teams and customers.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of technology sales, or 5+ years of senior leadership experience
- Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
- Strong understanding of data analytics technologies, including data warehousing, business intelligence, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex analytics concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in consultative selling and solution-based approaches to a variety of customer types including Enterprise, ISV, SMB, and Startup customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals
- Direct experience selling analytics, business intelligence, or data platform solutions.
- Understanding of key analytics use cases across various industries including data warehouse modernization, BI/visualization, and data lake implementations.
- Experience working with or selling to data engineering, business intelligence, and analytics teams.
- Familiarity with AWS Analytics services such as Amazon Redshift, Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon OpenSearch Service.
- Track record of developing and executing account plans for a variety of company types.
