Position: Camp Dispatch

Vacancy - Open Positions: Two

Pay: Hourly: CAD $ hour shifts), plus 7.7% vacation & holiday pay

Snow T.O. is dedicated to doing our part to keep you moving smoothly with safe, timely and efficient snow clearing and removal services on your streets, sidewalks, bike lanes and pathways. All season long; we do our best to ensure that winter doesn't slow you down.

Reporting to: Camp Superintendent

As a dispatcher your Job will be to watch the camp phone for your shift. Our clients will call you to dispatch equipment during a snow event. Please be aware that regardless of the weather forecast you will be required to attend your assigned camp.

Snow event your responsibilities:

  • Monitor the phone for incoming calls
  • Record and communicate the call-out information to the camp management team.
  • Call all of the Call-in drivers and notify them that it is time to mobilize.
  • Keep track of driver & operator hours as they mobilize and return.
  • Record and communicate consecutive callouts or questions & concerns that have been communicated through the dispatch phone
  • Receive and communicate deficiencies.
  • To act as the main communication bridge between drivers/operators and the management team.
  • Other duties as required

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general office duties.
  • Help the management team input time sheet data.
  • Verify hours via GPS record.
  • Help prepare post-storm documents.
  • Manage visitors & conduct general "front desk" duties.

Requirements:

  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Able to focus in a loud and busy environment.
  • Organized and Detailed Oriented

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office – Excel and Word
  • Experience with Snow Clearing and Removal an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $21.46 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 60 per week
