Job Description

We are seeking Casual Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our dedicated team at Edion Staffing Agency, a transcending healthcare staffing agency committed to providing qualified, experienced, and passionate professionals to long-term care facilities across Ontario.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive care, promoting wellness, and ensuring the highest standard of patient-centered service.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as permitted within the scope of practice.
  • Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and their families.
  • Monitor treatment plans and evaluate outcomes, adjusting care as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and comply with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Promote health, prevention, and wellness initiatives within the facility.
  • Participate in staff training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent NP program preferred)
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care, primary care, or community health setting (preferred)
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Must be available for weekend shifts

  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
  • Photo ID (Government-issued)
