Vancouver a un programme florissant d'immersion française qui comprend quatorze écoles primaires, quatre écoles primaires offrant une immersion intensive en français ou en français tardif au niveau de la 6e/7e année et trois écoles secondaires. Notre communauté d'enseignants et de directeurs/vice-directeurs d'immersion française est collaborative et engagée. Nous offrons à nos enseignants un développement professionnel continu, des mentors ainsi qu'un conseiller pédagogique pour les soutenir.

Nous recherchons des enseignants qui ont une solide éthique de travail, qui sont passionnés par l'enseignement de la langue française, qui connaissent bien la recherche sur l'acquisition d'une langue seconde/additionnelle et qui sont capables de planifier et de mettre en œuvre des leçons créatives et engageantes.

Ce poste est un travail garanti à temps plein et comprend des prestations médicales. Les enseignants sont généralement placés dans des stages temporaires à long terme couvrant les congés médicaux ou de maternité. Parfois, ils sont placés dans un contrat permanent et/ou pourraient être tenus de travailler de jour en jour dans différentes écoles dépendant des besoins. Ce poste est différent de notre affectation d'immersion française sur appel, car les enseignants sont tenus de travailler tous les jours. Une fois embauchés, les enseignants peuvent postuler à tous les postes internes continus d'immersion française affichés au cours de l'année.

En général, nous plaçons nos professeurs d'immersion française dans des postes où ils ont de l'expérience; cependant, la plupart de nos postes d'immersion française sont au niveau élémentaire; par conséquent, les nouveaux enseignants seront, en majorité, placés dans des classes de la maternelle à la 7e année.

Qualifications
:

  • Achèvement d'un baccalauréat en éducation
  • L'achèvement d'un stage d'enseignement prolongé en immersion française et/ou d'une expérience d'enseignement réussie en immersion française est nécessaire.
  • Une maîtrise native du français oral et écrit est requise
  • L'expérience de l'enseignement et une évaluation récente de l'enseignement sont un atout
  • Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite en anglais
  • Adhésion à la British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) ou éligibilité à en devenir membre
  • Inscription au service de qualification des enseignants (Teacher Qualification Service, TQS)
