About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Reporting to the Administrative Manager of 2A, 2B, 2C, and TCU, the Manager ‑ 2B Medical Inpatient Unit is
responsible for the leadership and management of inpatient medicine unit 2B. The manager will provide clinical and
professional leadership that will help facilitate a safe and effective work environment, embraces both efficiency and
professional accountability amongst all team members and will ensure the quality of patient care and professional
standards of practice.
The Manager will be responsible and accountable for clinical practice, the development of systems that ensure
quality outcomes and will accomplish so in a fiscally responsible manner.
The Manager will base their decisions on the mission, vision and values of TBHRSC, the principals of the Patient and
Family Centered Care, interprofessional collaboration, the standards of practice for all applicable regulatory bodies
and TBRHSC policies, procedures and standards.
Employment Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (Master's degree preferred)
* Additional undergraduate education, clinical certification and past experience will also be recognized and
considered
* Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required
* The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player with clinical expertise in medical inpatient nursing and
previous management experience
* The ideal candidate will display a commitment to evidence based practice and possess a facilitative leadership style
* Demonstrated communication, decision making and planning skills are essential
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
* High level of self initiative and direction
* Ability to work effectively within a team setting
* Knowledge of practice standards and guiding principles to foster professional practice and accountability
* Analytical skills in order to monitor, assess and implement programs and address operational needs
* Interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to interact effectively with all team members, staff, patients, family
supports, community and provincial partners
* Proficient in the use of computer applications such as GroupWise, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, PowerPoint and
Excel
Salary Range: $60.310 to 75.380
