This position will involve working the day, evening, night, weekend shifts. The shift is not to be interpreted as a

guarantee.

Reporting to the Manager of Medical Services, the Personal Support Worker performs a variety of tasks that

enhance the overall functioning of the nursing unit and the delivery of patient care.. As part of a multidisciplinary

health care team, you will practice within the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission vision, values

and the policies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Qualifications:

- Personal Support Worker certificate
- HealthCare Aide certificate with previous experience
- Membership in the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association preferred
- Current certification in CPR
- Patient care experience preferably in an acute care setting
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of infection control and isolation practices
- Ability to work well as a member of a health care team
- Ability to perform physical activity for periods of time
- Ability to follow directions, policies and procedures

Salary Range: $29.286 to 29.930
