About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road on an as-needed basis.

Purpose: To provide proofreading and quality control across all channels of Marketing

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Proofread for accuracy of offers, English copy, pricing and photography, for completeness and conformity with Giant Tiger standards
  • Ensure consistency through all marketing materials.
  • Provide proofreading for the Marketing group including flyer, private brand packaging, digital content, signs, loyalty and local advertising projects
  • Coordinate flyer proofs with multiple teams including Buying, Marketing, Translation, external vendors and Creative Services and ensure checkpoints are met.
  • Extract information from various sources and communicate all relevant details to the production team.
  • Ensure all flyer deadlines are met
  • Create weekly, monthly, and seasonal sign batches for stores
  • Create reference documents to facilitate flyer and sign production

What You'll Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (Journalism, Proofreader, Legal Assistant, Copywriter)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a proofreader/editor
  • Superior attention to detail and quality
  • Proven ability to seek out information and ask the right questions
  • Experience working with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task and to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a positive, flexible, energetic, and team-oriented attitude

$45, $68,500.00
