Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to lead and manage the estimating process for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in construction estimating, project management, and pricing strategies, ensuring accurate and competitive bids. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of collaborating with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver precise cost evaluations that align with project goals and company standards.

Duties

  • Develop comprehensive construction estimates utilizing industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam or other Estimating software
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
  • Prepare detailed cost proposals including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms effectively.
  • Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
  • Review and refine estimates based on project changes or new information to ensure competitiveness.
  • Assist in the development of bid strategies and risk assessments for potential projects.
  • Support project management teams during execution by providing cost control insights and updates.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
  • Strong project management abilities to coordinate multiple estimates efficiently.
  • Knowledge of pricing strategies within the construction industry to ensure competitive bids.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience.
