About the Role:

Cogency is seeking an experienced
Senior Developer
with strong expertise in
Microsoft PowerApps (Canvas Apps & Power Automate)
to join our Agile delivery team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize Power Platform solutions, supporting both new initiatives and existing applications. Experience within the
banking or financial services
domain will be considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable
    PowerApps Canvas applications
    and
    Power Automate workflows
    .
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with Business System Analysts (BSA), QA engineers, and developers within the delivery POD.
  • Review and optimize existing PowerApps solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Provide technical guidance and establish
    best practices and coding standards
    within the team.
  • Support and troubleshoot production issues to ensure business continuity.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to established
    development methodologies, DevOps pipelines, and compliance standards
    .

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years
    of total software development experience, with
    3+ years in Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
    .
  • Proficient in
    Canvas Apps
    and
    Model-Driven Apps
    development.
  • Strong understanding of
    Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure integration
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Agile/Scrum development methodologies
    .
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with attention to performance and user experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the
    Banking or Financial Services
    industry.
  • Familiarity with
    Power Virtual Agents
    and
    Azure Logic Apps
    .
  • Knowledge of
    CI/CD pipelines
    and deployment automation within Power Platform.
