Position Overview

The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT) seeks a Senior Software Developer – ETL to support and validate the migration of data from legacy systems to the new Dynamics 365 OPGT solution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ETL development, Azure data services, and Dynamics 365 data integrations.

You will play a key role in data validation, testing, transformation, and quality assurance throughout the migration process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data in preparation for go-live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing legacy application data to understand structure, quality, and relationships.
  • Review and validate existing data migration logic and mappings to Dynamics 365 CE.
  • Conduct comprehensive data testing and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and execute data migration test plans, test cases, and scripts.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct data migration issues by modifying ETL code.
  • Define and track data migration KPIs for progress and quality reporting.
  • Maintain detailed test documentation and results.
  • Provide post-migration support, assist in issue resolution, and optimize data processes.
  • Adhere to OPS architecture, security, and confidentiality standards.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities with the project team and management.

Mandatory Requirements

  • ETL Development Expertise (5+ years)
  • Proven experience in ETL development, data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Strong understanding of ETL design patterns, data pipeline architectures, and Azure orchestration tools (ADF, Synapse, etc.).
  • Azure Data Services Proficiency
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse workspaces, and PolyBase.
  • Proficient in building and monitoring data pipelines, data flows, integration runtimes, and triggers.
  • Dynamics 365 Integration Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of DataVerse / Common Data Service (CDS), Data Entities, and APIs used for integration with Dynamics 365 CE.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Azure cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Data Engineer Associate, or Database Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE and Dynamics 365 F&O environments.
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and data governance best practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $65.00 per hour
