Position Overview: This role combines sales, estimating, and client relationship management. The Sales/Estimator is responsible for securing new business, building strong relationships with clients, and delivering accurate, competitive project estimates. Experience in multiple roofing systems such as shingles, TPO, and Metal is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits and roof inspections to gather project requirements and measurements
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and timelines.
  • Analyze blueprints, specs, and project documents to define scopes of work using Planswift.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and internal teams for seamless execution.
  • Present proposals, adjust bids as needed, and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain organized estimate and bid records for all projects.
  • Build relationships with contractors, builders, and developers to encourage repeat business.
  • Research pricing, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure favorable procurement terms.
  • Track market and material cost trends to keep bids competitive and current.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in roofing estimating and/or sales (commercial/flat roofing an asset).
  • Solid understanding of roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, metal (Standing Seam and Exposed Fastener), asphalt shingles and Euroshield.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with estimating software PlanSwift and Google Suite.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and client expectations.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
  • Comfortable towing trailers (experience required)
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Punctual, reliable, and organized
  • Strong work ethic and ability to take direction
