Job Title: Camp Cook – Construction Projects (4x2 Rotation)

Location: Various Remote Sites Across Canada (primarily Northern Ontario and Newfoundland)

We specialize in remote and logistically complex projects, with over 25 years of proven experience delivering materials and completing projects through winter road access, barging, and other challenging transportation environments. No project is too large and no location is too remote—our team has the expertise to deliver safely and on schedule.

We are seeking an experienced Camp Cook for ongoing work in Northern Ontario and various other locations, as required. This role involves supporting a camp of between 10-15 employees.

Position Summary

The Camp Cook is responsible for preparing and serving three meals per day for construction crews working at remote project sites. This role operates on a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation and plays a key role in maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and efficient camp kitchen to support worker health, morale, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook three nutritious meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for camp residents
• Plan daily menus that meet dietary needs and accommodate shift schedules
• Order groceries and kitchen supplies; maintain accurate inventory records
• Receive, inspect, and properly store food and supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, dining, and storage areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation standards
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils
• Report equipment issues or supply shortages to site management

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook, preferably in camp, institutional, or high-volume food service environments
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Physically able to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
• Willingness to work a 4x2 rotation at remote sites across Canada

Work Conditions

• Remote camp-based position
• Rotational schedule: 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off
• Shared accommodations and meals provided while on site
• Travel to and from site typically arranged by the company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
