About This Opportunity

Reporting to a Drilling, Completions or Operations Engineer, the student will interface with and support Drilling, Completions and Interventions (DCI) well construction workscopes, including gated well design and execution processes for offshore wells from the West White Rose Wellhead Platform. This involves supporting project planning, project management, detailed well engineering analysis, and operations execution support.

What You'll Do
- Perform data analysis on historical wells.
- Support department with data requirements for detailed well engineering.
- Support well planning design processes
- Support daily operations
- Project management - develop, document and track plans through implementation and execution
- Review and update technical documentation.
- Take part in the creation of technical engineering documents.
- Interface with other technical teams, including service partners
- Participation in innovative thinking, identification and application of new technologies for value creation.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)
- Available to begin work in May 2026
- Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Proficient technical skills in communications software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinker and ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-performing, team environment.
- Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals.
- Organizational skills, ability to plan, document, track progress and achieve results.
- Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.
- Understanding of Drilling, Completions and Interventions operations is an asset.
- Understanding engineering principles such as hydrostatics, stresses and buckling is an asset.

Education
- Must be enrolled in an Engineering Program (all disciplines will be considered) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
- Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered
- New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
