New Auxiliary Member Program Launched at North Bay Police Service
Apply Now:
The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) is excited to announce the launch of its new Auxiliary Member Program, designed to strengthen community engagement and promote public safety. The program is seeking eight community-minded North Bay residents to join as volunteer Auxiliary Members.
Auxiliary Members play an important role in supporting the NBPS under the supervision of sworn members. Volunteers assist with traffic and crowd control during parades and community events, emergency situations, R.I.D.E. programs, and public safety promotions, while also representing the Service at community events. The majority of the role focuses on community engagement and promoting community safety.
"We are thrilled to launch our Auxiliary Member Program and invite North Bay residents to become community safety promoters and an important part of the NBPS," said A/Deputy Warner. "We are looking for diverse, community-minded individuals of all backgrounds who are passionate about giving back and strengthening the connections that keep our community safe and thriving."
Program Highlights and Requirements:
• Attend a six-week training program (Tuesday & Thursday evenings plus a full Saturday every other week)
• Volunteer a minimum of 96 hours per year
• Reside in the North Bay area with a local address
• Complete all ongoing training as required
• Commit to the program for a period of three years
