Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace by washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Support cooks during meal preparation by providing assistance as needed.
  • Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food handling meets health regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to kitchen management.
  • Participate in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils in good working order.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Skills

  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Previous experience in the food service industry is a plus but not required.
