Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic restaurant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, handling transactions, and supporting food service operations to deliver a memorable dining experience. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in the food industry while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Process payments efficiently, including cash handling and credit card transactions
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining space and service stations
  • Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed, ensuring smooth restaurant operations
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly and courteously
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures in accordance with industry standards

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and POS operations
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
  • Basic kitchen experience or serving background is advantageous but not mandatory
