Job Description:
The Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus at Fanshawe College is seeking an interested and qualified professional to teach courses in the Social Service Worker program.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, this Part-time Faculty will teach up to 6 hours per week starting January 6, 2026 and ending April 24, 2026. This is an in-person role at the Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus, 634 Ireland Road, Simcoe, Ontario.
We are seeking candidates to teach one or more of the following courses:
RSCH-1002, Ethical Principles – Research & Evaluation
SOCW-1052, Social Work w/ Families – Intro
SOCW-3030, Social Work Assessment w/ Families
SOCW-1054 Social Work in Mental Health 1
General Qualifications:
Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Excellent communicator
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery is an asset
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
Specific Qualifications:
Relevant Master's Degree with preference given to a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
Minimum 3 years' of recent and relevant work experience in the Human Services field
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
