Job Description:

The Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus at Fanshawe College is seeking an interested and qualified professional to teach courses in the Social Service Worker program.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, this Part-time Faculty will teach up to 6 hours per week starting January 6, 2026 and ending April 24, 2026. This is an in-person role at the Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus, 634 Ireland Road, Simcoe, Ontario.

We are seeking candidates to teach one or more of the following courses:

• RSCH-1002, Ethical Principles – Research & Evaluation 

• SOCW-1052, Social Work w/ Families – Intro

• SOCW-3030, Social Work Assessment w/ Families

• SOCW-1054 Social Work in Mental Health 1

General Qualifications:

• Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success 

• Excellent communicator 

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners 

• Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required 

• Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery is an asset 

• Proven ability to work in a team environment 

• Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets  

Specific Qualifications:

• Relevant Master's Degree with preference given to a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Minimum 3 years' of recent and relevant work experience in the Human Services field

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
