About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Resident Manager, the Resident Manager helps ensure the building runs smoothly. This is a live-in role with a subsidized on-site apartment, perfect for individuals seeking stability, lower living expenses, or supplemental income.

You will handle a mix of resident support, cleaning, daily checks, basic repairs, and contractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of the building and surrounding grounds
  • Provide prompt, courteous assistance to residents
  • Clean common areas and vacant suites to a high standard
  • Complete minor plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
  • Adjust or troubleshoot AC units and shifting doors/frames
  • Book and coordinate contractors
  • Show available suites to prospective renters
  • Maintain accurate logs and complete basic administrative tasks
  • Ensure fire safety and life safety system compliance
  • Support on-call needs, including some evenings and weekends
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with the property team

What You Bring

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent DIY abilities and comfort with minor repairs
  • Ability to lift up to 15kg, climb stairs, bend, push, and pull
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems (asset)
  • Understanding of fire safety and life safety protocols (asset)
  • PC skills (email, basic MS Office); Yardi experience is an asset
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–5 years of property management, building operations, or related experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Professionalism, dependability, and good problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license or passport (required for background checks)
  • Clean criminal record check

Compensation

  • Salary: $25,000 + 3% annual performance bonus
  • Subsidized on-site apartment valued at $29,100
  • Total compensation package: approximately $54,100 annually
