Description

Reporting to the Manager, Industrial Compliance, the Industrial Compliance Officer is required to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure various trade controls and security requirements are met and maintained. As a Defense Contractor, ISI is required to follow Canada's Contract Security and Controlled Goods Programs regulations. The Industrial Compliance Officer will provide guidance on regulations, ensure all staff, subcontractors and visitors are trained to follow these regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Providing training to internal and external stakeholders with regards to Security Requirements and Access Controls.
  • Control access to secure sites using Request for Visit Coordination (Incoming and Outgoing). 
  • Support maintenance of Controlled Goods access Requirements. 
  • Personnel Security Screening for both Contract Security and Controlled Goods Programs.
  • Representing Public Services and Procurement Canada as ACSO at ISI for defense contracting requirements.
  • Designated Official's assess staff using Canada's guidance for the ability to safely and securely possess or examine Controlled Goods as described in the Defence Production Act and make decisions on behalf of Canada as to the level of risk individuals present for ISI's defence programs.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Contract Security Program; experience as a CSO/ACSO considered an asset.
  • Experience working within the defense industry, defense contracting and associated legislative obligations.
  • Technical training experience desired.
  • Technically proficient Microsoft Office suite. Working knowledge of Visio considered an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the Controlled Goods Program Designated Official Certification.
  • Must have proficient communications skills and the ability to engage with all levels of Project teams and leadership.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Public speaking, and one on one interviewing skills.
