Heavy Equipment Operators – Full Time Temporary

Integrated Logistics (NL) Ltd is a full-service stevedoring and materials handling company operating across the province. Integrated Logistics continues to grow its operations and is expanding its employee base. Currently, we are seeking candidates with relevant training and experience for work in Long Harbour, Newfoundland.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform labour tasks and small tool work in support of site services. This work requires employees to handle mineral concentrates and chemical reagents in various formats focusing heavily on full-face respirator use with full-body sealed Tyvek suits;
  • Warehouse duties could include but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests;
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards;
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations;
  • Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, on both day and night shifts, employees are expected to participate in Integrated Logistics flow to work program which sees workers move between tasks, equipment pieces and labour assignments throughout the shift and their career.

TYPICAL WORK TASKS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Snow clearing and road maintenance - with hand tools or equipment as required
  • Receiving goods from trucks, ships and other transport mediums
  • Cargo handling in bulk and packaged forms
  • Assist the operations and other activities as requested by our clients.
  • All tasks in adherence to the HSEQ policies
  • Other duties as required

A HIGH LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT FLEET IS PREFERRED, PROVINCIAL LICENSES ARE REQUIRED.

  • Reach stacker, Loader, Excavators, Graders, Dozers & others as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Required license or certification: Heavy Equipment Operator for NL (Class 05, 08 & 9A) with at least 5+ years' experience using various heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to the Stevedoring, Logistics Construction and Mining Industry (Preferred).
  • Ability to embrace, scope of work, flow to work and safe work practices, while participating in a respective work environment.
