The OPS is seeking a Deputy Minister of Transportation, with proven strategic and innovative thinking to drive change, improve outcomes and achieve greater efficiencies for the people of Ontario. The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) strives to be a world leader in moving people and goods safely, efficiently and sustainably to support a globally competitive economy and a high quality of life. The Deputy Minister serves as a strategic leader and catalyst for transformation, working closely with the Minister and government to advance policy and deliver on key priorities that enhance the well-being of Ontarians. This role demands a proven track record of executive leadership, operational excellence, financial stewardship, and the ability to foster effective public-private partnerships. Ideal candidates will demonstrate entrepreneurial vision, innovative thinking, and deep credibility with stakeholders across transportation sectors. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and change leadership capabilities are essential to drive performance, improve outcomes, and lead in complexity.
