Role Description

The Marketing/Communications Assistant will assist the Marketing/Communications Manager in the execution of marketing/communications activities designed to elevate the Ashton Education member network brands, raise awareness, and increase revenue. The Marketing/Communications Assistant will actively support a wide variety of marketing/communications activities, including website, virtual event planning and execution, video creation and editing, social media, digital content creation, proofreading of digital content, etc.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in marketing/communications, or a related field.
  • Native-level proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong copywriting skills for promotional and content materials, including blog articles, email campaigns, social media posts, and video scripts.
  • Proficient in Canva (including video editing), and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good graphic design abilities and a strong eye for visual communication.
  • Confident and professional when conducting interviews and hosting online events.
  • Internet and social media savvy with a solid understanding of current digital trends.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new platforms and digital tools as needed.
  • Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Outgoing and cooperative in working with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write and edit blog articles, email campaigns, social media posts, video scripts, and other marketing content (e.g., website copy, brochures).
  • Design and produce graphics using Canva for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Conduct interviews on Zoom and edit recorded videos for various platforms.
  • Create both short-form and long-form informational videos using Canva and other tools.
  • Collaborate with the team to support marketing initiatives and special projects.
  • Represent the organization in virtual events and video content as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $42,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
