Technical Sales Representative
Responsible for building new business relationships in the defined territory as well as expanding business opportunities with existing customer base. Candidate will be required to engage in the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities to technical support of supplied product. Works closely with customers to provide technical solutions, improve overall equipment reliability and satisfy customer needs

- ts.Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, orders, and account plans while maintaining accurate customer and pipeline da
- ta.Travel frequently throughout the territory (approximately 50% or more, including overnight stays up to two weeks per month) to visit customers, perform site visits, and support sales activiti
- es.Independently plan and manage daily and weekly activities to balance customer engagement, travel, and administrative duti
- es.Collaborate closely with internal technical and engineering teams to provide customers with practical reliability solutions and product recommendatio
- ns.Conduct equipment surveys, troubleshooting, and failure analyses as required, preparing technical reports and proposals for customer solutio
- ns.Represent John Crane professionally in all customer interactions, ensuring a consultative, solution-driven approa

- tion:Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Business, or equivalent industry experi
**ence.
Exper**
- ience:Minimum 3 years of industrial or technical sales experience pref
- erred.Experience in rotating equipment, pumps, seals, bearings, or related industrial sectors is highly desi
- rable.Previous experience managing a large geographic territory or working with remote clients and distributors is an
**asset.
Knowledge/**
- Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage customers at all
- levels.Balance of technical aptitude and commercial acumen—able to discuss both product features and business
- value.Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- tools.Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal super
- vision.Proven ability to plan and prioritize work effectively within a large geographic ter
- ritory.Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout Alberta, including overnight
- stays.Safety certifications (H2S, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.) and site access requirements as
needed.
