About the Role & Team
The team accelerates operational efficiency across Penn Interactive's expansive digital portfolio — including theScore Bet, theScore Media, and iCasino. This team drives the automation strategy that powers scale, precision, and speed across our core systems. By leveraging cutting-edge robotic process automation (RPA) and orchestration technologies, we streamline high-impact workflows that enable our teams to focus on innovation and growth.

As a Senior Automation Engineer, RPA, you will own the automation roadmap and lead the design, implementation, and optimization of UiPath-driven solutions. You'll manage the backlog of automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and measurable ROI. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you'll balance strategy and execution — shaping the automation center of excellence while delivering tangible impact across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an experienced automation professional with a strong background in UiPath, RPA architecture, and process improvement. You're a builder at heart — equally comfortable designing robust automation frameworks, coaching others, and collaborating with business, data, and engineering partners to ensure each automation delivers real value. Experience in online gaming, entertainment, or other regulated, high-scale industries is a major plus.

Automation is foundational to Penn's strategy to operate with agility, reliability, and speed. This team's mission is to eliminate manual inefficiencies, reduce operational risk, and create intelligent systems that scale seamlessly with our growth.

About the Work

  • Own and manage the automation backlog — identify, prioritize, and oversee automation initiatives that deliver measurable value.
  • Partner with business and product stakeholders to analyze and document processes, evaluate automation opportunities, and design scalable RPA solutions.
  • Develop, test, and deploy UiPath automations with an emphasis on reusability, resilience, and maintainability.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, documentation standards, and version control practices to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, data, and security teams to ensure seamless integrations and operational readiness.
  • Monitor and optimize bot performance, including exception handling, alerting, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and report on key performance indicators (e.g., hours saved, error reduction, ROI of automation initiatives).
  • Champion automation best practices across teams — mentor others, lead training sessions, and contribute to scaling a company-wide RPA culture.
  • Support broader process excellence and product operations initiatives, ensuring automation aligns with long-term platform goals.
  • Stay ahead of emerging RPA technologies and AI-enabled process improvement trends to inform future roadmap direction.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and managing RPA solutions, with at least 3+ years hands-on with UiPath.
  • Proven experience leading automation initiatives from discovery to production, including backlog management and ROI measurement.
  • Strong technical foundation in UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and ReFramework, with working knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Experience in regulated or high-scale industries such as gaming, fintech, or entertainment is highly preferred.
  • Strategic mindset — able to connect automation roadmaps to business outcomes like cost savings, operational efficiency, and compliance.
  • Skilled in process analysis, solution design, and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
  • Strong collaborator who thrives in cross-functional environments, balancing detail orientation with big-picture impact.
  • UiPath certifications (UiARD, UiRPA, or similar) are highly preferred.
  • Passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and building automation systems that scale.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Fun, relaxed work environment.
  • Education and conference reimbursements.
  • Parental leave top up.
  • Opportunities for career progression and mentoring others.
