Black Forest Wood Co. is a custom furniture company that also supports other woodworkers through our line of premium woodworking materials and supplies. From resin and finishing kits to furniture oil and wood slabs, we take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and exceptional customer care.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Shipper / Retail Store Associate who is organized, reliable, and safety-oriented, with strong attention to detail and a friendly, customer-focused attitude. This role involves preparing and packing shipments, maintaining an organized workspace, and assisting customers in our retail store and online.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack and prepare orders to ensure safe, accurate delivery. Create and manage shipping labels using order management systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and retail area. Greet and assist customers in the retail store with product questions and purchases. Support front desk operations, including phone and email inquiries. Learn about our woodworking products and materials to provide informed recommendations. Perform physical tasks including lifting packages or lumber up to 50 lbs safely.

Qualifications:

Experience with shipping, order fulfillment, or retail preferred.Familiarity with Shopify, ShipStation, or e-commerce systems is helpful but not required. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, teamwork, and willingness to learn. Excellent communication and customer service skills, in person and by phone/email.Comfortable handling materials such as wood, resin, and ceramics.
