Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) :
$81,005 - $109,595Strong program management skills rewardedJoin FCC as our Occupational Health and Safety Advisor and lead the charge in keeping our workplace safe, compliant and connected. You'll play a key role in managing our national OHS program, delivering impactful training, supporting investigations and collaborating across teams to drive a culture of care. Fluency in English and French and a background in OHS and program management experience are must-haves.
What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code Part II, Accessible Canada Act and other relevant standards and regulations across all operations
- Manage FCC's OHS program nationally, including emergency preparedness, hazard prevention and other relevant OHS risks
- Make strategic, technical and tactical recommendations based on regulatory compliance (Labour Code part 2), industry best practices and current research to ensure the health and safety of employees
- Coordinate and conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments and safety audits
- Deliver onboarding and refresher training using CCOHS e-learning and internal tools
- Support incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to promote a culture of safety
- Track and report on OHS metrics, training completion and inspection outcomes
- Monitor PPE and other safety protocols in accordance with OH&S regulations

- Collaborator and influencer who works effectively with cross-functional teams and safety committees to drive initiatives
What you'll need
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related field and at least three years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience managing complex programs with a national scope
- Advanced proficiency in both official languages (English and French)
