This employment opportunity is open to Nunavut Inuit.

The Customer Service Representative will be the main and first contact for members of the public coming to the City of Iqaluit building to do business or to meet City officials. The Customer Service Representative will perform all reception and administrative duties for the City. This position assist in the delivery of city services in a cross-cultural setting. The representative helps with data entry requirements and general clerical support for the departments.

The ideal candidate will hold a Grade 12 diploma, and have some post secondary courses in Office Administration or related field with a minimum 1 years' work experience in administration.

In this customer-service orientated role, the successful candidate must also have:
experience and confidence speaking to members of the public and all levels of fellow staff in both Inuktitut and English; excellent problem solving skills, professional writing skills and computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Suite, organizational skills with file management systems experience.

Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience will be considered.

Le représentant du service à la clientèle sera le principal et le premier contact pour les gens du public qui se rendront au bureau de la Ville d'Iqaluit pour établir des relations d'affaires ou rencontrer des représentants de la Ville. La personne en poste devra s'acquitter de tâches administratives et de réception pour la Ville. Ce poste consiste à assister la Ville à la prestation des services municipaux dans un contexte interculturel. Le représentant aide à la saisie des données et fournit un soutien administratif général aux différents services.

La candidature idéale doit avoir terminé sa 12e année et suivi quelques cours postsecondaires en administration ou dans un domaine connexe avec un minimum d'un an d'expérience de travail en administration.

Dans ce rôle axé sur le service à la clientèle, la personne retenue doit également :
Posséder une expérience et une aisance pour s'adresser au public ou au personnel municipal en inuktitut ou en anglais; détenir d'excellentes capacités de résolution de problèmes, des compétences professionnelles en rédaction et en informatique, avec une maîtrise de la suite Microsoft; démontrer des aptitudes organisationnelles, notamment en ce qui a trait à la gestion des fichiers.
