Arctic Stone Ltd. is looking for a detail‑oriented and experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our fabrication team. This position plays a key role in producing high‑quality stone countertops and custom stone components using advanced CNC machinery. The ideal candidate should be reliable, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

CNC Operation & Production

  • Operate CNC saws, routers, and polishing machines for stone fabrication.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings, templates, and job specifications.
  • Set up tooling, adjust machine parameters, and perform test runs.
  • Inspect finished pieces to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow production schedules.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure proper handling of stone materials.
  • Safely operate forklifts for material movement and loading.
  • Participate in safety meetings and comply with WorkSafe BC regulations.

Material Handling & Workflow

  • Load and unload stone slabs onto CNC tables and storage racks.
  • Assist with shop organization, inventory management, and workflow coordination.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 1–3 years of CNC machine operation experience, preferably in stone fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming basics (e.g., G‑code) is an asset.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, measurements, and digital templates.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid forklift driving license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
