Job Overview
Just Like Family Home Care Vancouver is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Operations Manager / Community Health Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional in-home care and community support services. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high standards of client care, and supporting a positive and collaborative environment for both caregivers and clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health services management, community health, or social work, with a passion for helping seniors and individuals with disabilities live safely and comfortably at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of home care and community health programs to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
- Manage and support caregivers, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, clients, and families to develop and monitor individualized care plans.
- Promote client satisfaction through proactive communication, quality assurance visits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on topics such as client communication, professional boundaries, and best practices in home care.
- Monitor and analyze operational data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency and client outcomes.
- Participate in community outreach and partnership initiatives to raise awareness of available home care services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Health Administration, or a related field (Master's degree an asset).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in community health, home care management, or a related leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate client care in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of BC home care standards, community resources, and health system navigation.
- Proficiency with data tracking, scheduling, and client management software (experience with AxisCare an asset).
