Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with chairside procedures, medical imaging, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, crown and bridge, Implants etc.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and maintain strict infection control protocols.
  • Take and develop X-rays and operate 3D scanners to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance.
  • Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
  • Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.80-$30.76 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
