What You'll Do:

This role is all about connection — listening, learning, and leading with respect. You'll:

  • Build and strengthen partnerships with Indigenous Nations, organizations, and community leaders across Western Canada.
  • Create pathways for collaboration — whether through employment, training, community projects, or business partnerships.
  • Provide strategic advice internally on respectful engagement, inclusion, and relationship development.
  • Bring insight and awareness to how Indigenous perspectives can inform company initiatives and decision-making.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, gatherings, and events that deepen mutual understanding and partnership.
  • Travel regularly (approximately 30–40%) to connect face-to-face with communities and colleagues.

  • 5+ years of experience in Indigenous relations, stakeholder engagement, or community partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of Indigenous governance, rights, and protocols in Western Canada.
  • Experience facilitating discussions or developing agreements that reflect shared interests.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and cultural competency skills.
  • Lived Indigenous experience or a strong connection to Indigenous communities is considered a major asset.
