Responsibilities:
The Oracle Technical Analyst plays a key role in supporting, enhancing, and developing solutions within our Oracle modules including but not limited to HRMS, Payroll, Timecards, HCM, and finance applications. Leveraging practical experience and independent judgment, this role analyzes issues, interprets system information, and selects appropriate solutions within established standards. Working with both technical and functional teams, the analyst supports a broad range of service delivery activities, contributes to system improvements, and helps ensure reliable and efficient business operations.
- Independently monitor, investigate, and resolve Tier 3 incidents and processing exceptions using established troubleshooting methods, minimizing impact to business users and ensuring key control requirements are met.
- Provide technical expertise for assigned project role on implementing Oracle solutions.
- Contribute to solution design, configuration, integration, testing, training, knowledge‑transfer, and post‑production support activities, including planning, preparing, and executing functional and system testing, developing test cases, and assisting in issue resolution.
- Use judgement to ensure accuracy and adhere to standards, perform service delivery activities including period/quarter/year-end processing, mass data updates, and various hierarchy changes.
- Execute scheduled maintenance activities such as responding to system alerts.
- Execute a variety of tasks in support of acquisition migrations.
- Collaborate with functional and other technical analysts, consulting them on end‑user system practices and escalating incidents when resolution through the front end is not evident
- Identify opportunities to reduce or prevent incidents occurring such as educating/training end-users, or functional/technical changes.
- Log SRs with vendors and coordinate diagnostics, requested actions and perform testing.
- Adhere to Stantec's Solution Delivery Framework, Incident Management, and Change Management procedures.
