About NURA

Based in Montreal, NURA Medical is on a mission to increase patient safety and provide healthcare professionals with tools that minimize medication calculation, preparation, and administration errors through efficient data management and evidence-based decision-making.

Our flagship product, NurEx, is a real-time medication decision support platform used by nurses, pharmacists, and physicians in high-risk hospital environments like emergency departments and pediatric care.

The Role

We're hiring a Tech Lead to take end-to-end ownership of the NurEx Platform—both front end and back end—as we scale deployments and evolve the product. You'll join a small but experienced team and work closely with the CTO, clinical and pharmacy teams.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a senior full-stack developer who thrives in early-stage environments. You'll be responsible for evolving and maintaining a modern, production platform used in real hospital settings—and you'll have significant influence over the technical direction as we grow.

What You'll Do

• Own NurEx's full-stack architecture (React/TypeScript front end, ASP.NET Core, REST API back end)
• Maintain and scale our cloud infrastructure on Azure, including CI/CD and monitoring
• Build out authentication workflows, integration hooks, and new features for clinical users
• Work directly with pharmacists and internal stakeholders to ship tools that matter
• Collaborate with the CTO to align technical implementation with product roadmap and regulatory requirements
• Operate independently with end-to-end responsibility for releases, uptime, and performance

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Proven experience owning end-to-end architecture or platform features
• Comfortable working solo and making production-grade decisions
• Strong UI/UX sensibility

Must-Have Technical Skills

Front end

• React (TypeScript), Vite, Material UI

Back end

• ASP.NET Core 10 (C#), REST API
• NoSQL databases experience (CosmosDB)
• Hands-on experience implementing auth workflows

DevOps & Cloud

• Azure (infrastructure & networking)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Pulumi or Terraform/Bicep/equivalents)

Tooling

• Strong proficiency with Git, VS Code, and modern code review workflows

· AI-based developer tooling (LLM-based assistants, etc.) to improve productivity while maintaining high code quality and accountability

Nice-to-Have

• Specific experience with Keycloak IAM
• PWA bundling and deployment to app stores
• Familiarity with clinical terminologies (SNOMED CT, RxNorm), and HL7/FHIR
• Experience in health tech or regulated software environments
