We are committed to excellence in security and loss prevention, and we are currently seeking highly skilled and experienced Undercover Loss Prevention Investigators to join our team in Kingston, ON. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a non-uniformed environment and must possess a reliable vehicle to travel between multiple sites as required.

Position Overview:

As a Full-Time Undercover Loss Prevention Investigator with LPS, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our organization and retail environments. You will utilize your expertise to detect, apprehend, and manage incidents of theft, ensuring adherence to both legal and procedural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support security operations in retail settings.
  • Identify and apprehend individuals engaged in theft, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary.
  • Adhere to established procedures and protocols to ensure effective loss prevention.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports, applying knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Citizens Powers of Arrest.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Proven experience in loss prevention within the retail sector.
  • High school diploma required; preference for graduates in Police Foundations or Law & Security.
  • Full-time availability, including weekends.
  • Reliable cell phone with data plan.
  • Physical fitness to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle is advantageous.
