MBQ LTC Home, a 128-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees, and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Spring of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent full-time Environmental Services Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, directs and monitors all operational and quality improvement environmental and maintenance activities.
- Direct management of all environmental services employees.
- Oversees and supports all human resource related functions for the environmental services department.
- Manages and monitors environmental services budgets, envelopes and strategic fiscal plans.
- Ensures quality risk management activities are implemented and maintained.
- Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
- Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning long-term care services.
- Oversees and completes routine and preventative maintenance activities.
- Schedules contractors to complete preventative or emergency related maintenance work.
- Manages and oversees the timely and efficient laundering of linen and residents' personal clothing.
- Maintains the overall housekeeping and cleanliness of the long-term care home.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary care conferences, the strategic planning process, committees and other meetings, maintains an organized system of records management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma from a university or community college in a related field of study or combination of education and related experience.
- 2 years environmental services experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, in a health care setting, preferably in the long-term care sector would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of prevailing best practices related to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interrupt equipment manuals, architectural, mechanical or electrical drawings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all pertinent legislation related to maintenance and environmental activities.
- Sound knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Homes Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/10.
- Excellent leadership, oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
- Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
- Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
