About the Role

Barry Enterprises Protection & Security Services is seeking a select few individuals to join our distinguished Elite Protection Team as Doormen (Bouncers) and Searchers.

We're looking for confident, professional, and composed individuals who thrive in fast-paced nightlife environments and understand the balance between presence, protection, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a commanding yet respectful presence at venue entrances and throughout the premises
  • Assess potential risks and make sound, proactive decisions
  • Communicate effectively and adapt to various client and crowd dynamics
  • Enforce venue policies and safety regulations consistently and fairly
  • De-escalate conflicts with professionalism and tact
  • Liaise with local law enforcement when necessary
  • Complete detailed incident and shift reports in a timely manner

Preferred Skills & Certifications

  • Completion or enrollment in SNIPERS Training Academy
  • ProServe and ProTect certifications
  • Standard First Aid / OFA Level 1 or 2

Requirements

  • Valid Alberta Security Workers License (ABST)
  • Minimum 1 year of security or protection experience
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Professional appearance and deportment at all times
  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training

About the Position

As a Nightclub Security Professional, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe, enjoyable, and orderly environment for patrons and staff. Reporting directly to the Security Manager, you'll be responsible for crowd management, surveillance, and ensuring compliance with venue and safety regulations.

Your vigilance, judgment, and interpersonal skills will ensure every guest enjoys a secure and vibrant nightlife experience.
