Who We Are

Protec Petroleum Services Ltd is a BGIS owned company with offices in Kelowna, Kamloops, Kootenays and Prince George. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent quality at a fair price to our customers. Our team has over 65 years of Petroleum services experience and are known for quality.

At Protec, we believe in providing our customers with top quality service. To accomplish this, we have highly trained people working together on a productive team.

Protec Petroleum Services Ltd was formed in July of 2003 in Kelowna B.C. Since 2003 Protec Petroleum Services Ltd. has experienced steady growth and we now have service technicians in Kamloops, Kootenays and Prince George as well. We have 7 qualified service technicians to serve the interior of BC.

We also have a construction branch in the Vancouver area. Our expert construction staff have extensive experience in petroleum related installations. Our construction manager is Dario Le Donne who has been in the petroleum for 30 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain petroleum equipment, POS Systems and accessories
  • Repair and maintain underground leak detection systems
  • Maintain professionalism, to portray the Company in a positive manner
  • Must have problem solving skills in unusual work problems.
  • Help maintain strong, trustworthy, and lasting relationships with our existing and new clients.
  • Complete all paper work in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure that the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Possess the physical and mental capabilities to work under stress and control multiple tasks at a time
  • Must make sure the company vehicle a clean and looked after
  • The technician is expected to be in an on-call 24/7 rotation with other technicians
  • The successful candidate must possess a valid driver licence and provide a clean drivers abstract.

Additional Assets:

  • Electrical expertise (in petroleum or otherwise) or an understanding of electrical concepts
  • Multiple different trade certifications
  • Measurement Canada Certified Inspector
  • Electronics and technical skills
  • and basic computer programming

We are currently hiring a petroleum service technicians for a full-time position in the Kelowna areas. Position is available immediately. The salary range is $25 - $40 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate's competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
