is seeking a
Project Coordinator
to join our client, a leading vertically integrated design-build firm specializing in timber structures and complex construction projects based in
Abbotsford, BC.
Their team of 200+ professionals pushes the boundaries of engineering and construction through innovation in mass timber, long span roofs, tall wood buildings, free-form structures, and bridges.

With offices in Canada, the US, and Europe, we collaborate with world-renowned developers, architects, and owners to create structures that are both elegant and impactful. This position
requires openness to travel across Canada and the US
, often for
2–3 months at a time
, with all travel costs covered. Candidates should have a strong eagerness to learn, a resilient and proactive spirit, and the ability to read construction drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers on larger projects or lead smaller projects.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities from award to completion.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, change orders, and progress billing.
  • Create schedules and coordinate resources to meet deliverables.
  • Understand project scope and contract terms to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, issue POs and subcontracts, and track delivery milestones.
  • Track project progress, report issues, and propose solutions.
  • Provide onsite construction support and quality assurance oversight.
  • Manage project changes and delays, ensuring fair compensation.
  • Evaluate project results and performance metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering preferred.
  • 1–5 years of construction-related project experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (mandatory).
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and the US.
