Vancouver British Columbia VYG Canada Davidson and Co Full time

About Us

At Davidson & Company our people are our strongest asset. From our humble beginnings in 1984, our entrepreneurial drive has grown our firm to nearly 200 strong and established us as one of the largest independent CPA firms in B.C. and the leading public auditor in Canada.

From our vibrant office in downtown Vancouver, we offer tax, audit, and advisory services to a diverse global client base. You'll have the chance to work with clients across a range of industries, including:

  • Mining and exploration (our specialty)
  • Cryptocurrency and blockchain ventures
  • Cannabis companies navigating rapid growth
  • Technology startups and scale-ups
  • Publicly listed and pre-IPO companies
  • International subsidiaries and multi-entity groups

Unlike the other behemoth accounting firms where you're often confined to one lane, Davidson gives you the freedom and opportunity to explore multiple facets of the business. From day one, you'll collaborate with top-notch industry leaders, develop your expertise, shape your own career path, and make an impact here at Davidson.

About the role

Are you a people leader who loves rolling up your sleeves, building client relationships, and making an impact that goes beyond the numbers?

Davidson & Company is on the lookout for an Audit Manager to join our growing Public Company Audit Practice. In this role, you'll lead high-profile engagements, work closely with dynamic clients, and guide our rising audit stars as they sharpen their skills.

We're not your average accounting firm — we're independent, entrepreneurial, and driven by collaboration, curiosity, and a healthy dose of fun.

What You'll Do

No two days are the same — but here's a glimpse into what you'll be doing:

  • Take charge of end-to-end client engagements — from planning to final deliverables — across a diverse portfolio of industries and engagement sizes
  • Build strong client relationships by providing clear communication, practical solutions, and top-tier service
  • Collaborate with Engagement Partners to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables with precision
  • Translate complex accounting concepts into client-friendly insights (because numbers tell stories, too)
  • Lead, coach, and inspire junior and senior team members — helping them grow while keeping the vibe positive and productive
  • Stay sharp on all things IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, and PCAOB while driving innovation and efficiency within your teams
  • Be a trusted go-to for your clients, offering proactive advice and guidance that makes a real difference

What You'll Bring to the Table
You've got the expertise — and the people skills to match:

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) required
  • 5+ years of public practice audit experience
  • Solid technical knowledge in IFRS, CAS, US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
  • A natural communicator who can build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues
  • A genuine leader who motivates, mentors, and develops others
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, stay organized, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Experience using Caseware, MS Office, and a willingness to leverage AI-driven tools and new technologies to work smarter
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for excellence and growth

What's in It for You?

At Davidson, we believe great work deserves great rewards—and we're not just talking about salary. We've built a total rewards package that supports your well-being, growth, and lifestyle, with a few fun surprises along the way. Here's a peek at what you can expect:

  • Comprehensive health coverage starting day one, including extended benefits, Telus Health EAP, and Maple Virtual Care.
  • $1,000/year for mental health support.
  • Three weeks of vacation to start — because rest fuels success.
  • Performance-based bonuses—your impact matters, and we make sure you feel it.
  • Hybrid flexibility: Enjoy the best of both worlds with a mix of work-from-home freedom and in-office collaboration (at least three days a week)
  • $300 wellness credit + $250 monthly Commuting & Connectivity allowance—whether you're powering your body, covering your commute, or staying connected on your phone or your Wi-Fi, we've got you covered.
  • Global client exposure—your work could take you across borders (or at least across time zones).
  • A fun-loving social and culture crew that keeps things lively with team events, themed days, and spontaneous moments that make work feel a little less like work.
  • …and that's just the beginning.

We won't spoil the whole list here—but trust us, we're all about rewarding great people in meaningful ways. Ask us more when we meet

Let's Talk Numbers

We believe in transparency and fairness when it comes to compensation. For this role, the annual salary range is $105K-125K, depending on your experience and what you bring to the table.

And that's just the beginning—our total rewards package adds even more value beyond the base salary.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If this role sounds like your kind of vibe, don't overthink it—send us your resume and application. We're excited to meet talented folks who want to grow, lead, and have a little fun along the way.

Need accommodations? We've got you. Davidson is committed to creating an inclusive space where everyone can thrive. Just let us know during the application process, and we'll make it work.

Want a Sneak Peek Behind the Scenes?

We're not your average accounting firm—and we don't want to be.

P.S. We've got a few more surprises up our sleeve when it comes to perks and culture—but you'll have to apply to find out

A quick heads-up: We appreciate every application and read them all carefully—but due to volume, we'll only be reaching out to candidates selected for the next stage. (We're cheering you on either way)
