About the Job

We are hiring a Track Design Coordinator to join our Technical Office team on the Mobilinx project. This position reports to the Senior Technical Manager.

What You Will Be Doing?

Design and Technical Coordination

  • Act as the key liaison between Design teams and construction leads to ensure alignment between design intent and field constructability.
  • Review and interpret design drawings, standards, and specifications related to track work.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to resolve design issues, propose practical solutions, and ensure constructability considerations are captured in the design.

RFI, NCR, and Site Instruction Management

  • Lead the coordination and closure of Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely and complete responses from the design team.
  • Support the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) by managing technical input and verifying that corrective actions are appropriately implemented.
  • Track and manage Site Instructions to ensure design impacts, cost, and schedule implications are properly documented and communicated.

Interface and Issue Resolution

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, systems, utilities, and structures) to resolve cross-discipline design and construction interfaces.
  • Participate in regular technical coordination meetings to ensure all design dependencies are addressed.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks early and work collaboratively to mitigate them through practical solutions.

Design Change and Documentation Control

  • Monitor design revisions and ensure construction teams are working to the latest approved documents.
  • Support the preparation and verification of record drawings and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate with quality and engineering teams for construction certificates and final handover documentation.

Collaboration, Communication, and Performance

  • Foster effective communication and teamwork between design, construction, and stakeholder teams.
  • Build strong working relationships with designers, construction teams, and client representatives to promote trust and transparency.
  • Maintain meticulous records and trackers of outstanding items, ensuring all actions are closed within defined timeframes.
  • Support the Technical and Construction Managers with reporting and performance tracking to ensure project milestones are met.

What We Are Looking For?

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3- 5 years of experience in track design coordination, construction, or infrastructure project delivery.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Sound understanding of track design principles, including ballasted and embedded track systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., AREMA, EN, ISO, or equivalent).
  • Software Skills: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
