Assignment Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join a leading local Engineering firm's team supporting offshore oil and gas projects. This role demands a seasoned professional with proven expertise in subsea systems, drilling operations, and topsides engineering. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering complex projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through all phases of offshore project execution
  • Oversee design, planning, and implementation of subsea, drilling, and topsides scopes
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure technical compliance and project alignment
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments across multiple concurrent projects
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Support tendering and proposal development for new offshore opportunities

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Marine, or related discipline)
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects, with a strong focus on subsea, drilling, and topsides engineering
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Strong understanding of offshore regulatory frameworks and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation preferred
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to St. John's, NL
